Position: Fire Alarm systems service technician (hybrid)

Salary: $62,400 – $82,200 per year

B2B Alarms is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm systems service technician with programming, and
complex troubleshooting capabilities and experience. This is a key position for our growing team and
requires attention to detail in all aspects of executing an active service work order. The ideal candidate for
this position should be skillful at overcoming challenging obstacles and be able to communicate, in detail,
both verbally and in writing to our valued customer an effective resolution. We are committed to creating

What will you do
- Responsible for performing fire alarm systems service and maintenance calls in a retail and
grocer environment - Responsible for programming fire alarm panels via a laptop computer both on-site and remotely
- Responsible for performing fire alarm systems service calls efficiently
- Responsible for requesting parts and materials
- Responsible for overseeing vehicle stock parts and materials stock inventory
- Responsible for managing and updating service call work orders via service phone applications or website
- Review fire alarm system design drawings
- Work under tight deadlines
- Manage job progress in an efficient and cost-effective manner, with a strong focus on quality
- Generate timely and accurate service reports on work performed, product/service performance,
and warranties. - Display proficiency in the following: volt meter, toner, butt set, various hand tools, power tools
and other test equipment
What we require
- 3 plus years of fire alarm service experience
- Must have a valid and unrestricted driver’s license and must be able to to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
- OHSA 10 certification
- Active current RAS or FAL Texas fire license
- Physical requirements include ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, frequent standing, stooping, crawling, twisting, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing, and working overhead
- Ability to work on a scissor lift
Position Success Criteria
- Must have the ability to work variable hours, including travel within 150 miles of San Antonio, TX with occasional overnight stays.
- Proficient with hand and power tools
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills
- Submit to periodic background and drug screenings
- Strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills
- Works well under time constraints and in stressful situations
- Collaborates effectively with team members to meet tight deadlines
- Knowledgeable in NFPA 72 code requirements
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards
